Ortencia Bos

Ortencia Bos' personal mission is to eliminate domestic violence, and she has worked in a variety of capacities for over 14 years to keep women safe and make men more accountable. She is trained in the internationally recognized Duluth Model Domestic Violence Curriculum and facilitates Batterer Accountability Groups.

Ortencia is currently the director of West Shore Counseling Services LLC. She holds a B.A. from Hope College with majors in Social Work and Political Science. She started her career in domestic violence with victims of domestic violence at Center for Women in Transition and then as a Violence Intervention Officer with Ottawa County. She served on executive boards of the Michigan Coalition against Domestic and Sexual Violence and the Lakeshore Alliance against Domestic and Sexual Violence.

Ortencia has also volunteered on the executive board and worked as a Program Director for the Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance. She has also been trained as a facilitator for the Institute for Racial Healing and as a mediator for the Mediation Services. She currently serves as the community at large member for the Teen Court Advisory Board for the City of Holland.
